Credit applicability
Depending on your state's requirements, you may be able to use the CMU credit for
professional development programs to meet certificate renewal or state
continuing education requirements. Since acceptance varies by state educators
should contact their state's Department of Education to verify the course will
count toward licensure/certificate renewal before enrolling for credit. If you
wish to apply the credit toward an advanced degree, consult with your academic
advisor to verify the course will apply to your program.

Grades
After your course ends, you may access your grades in iCentral, the CMU student
portal, at
https://icentral.cmich.edu. You will log in with your
global id and
password. CMU does not mail grades to students. iCentral allows you to print a
copy of your grades. To obtain your grades:
- Log in to
https://icentral.cmich.edu.
- Click on Academics in the left-hand menu.
- Under Course Related, click on View My Grades.
- Select the academic year (CMU’s academic year runs Fall – Summer).
- Select the
term: Spring, Summer or Fall.
- Select your level: Graduate or Undergraduate.
For
your convenience, iCentral can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. The Family Rights and Privacy Act does not allow us to release a
student’s grade to a third party without a written request.
Incomplete/deferred
grades
In the event you are unable to complete requirements for a course and you
receive an incomplete or deferred grade, your instructor will need to complete a
Statement of Requirements for Removal of Incomplete or Deferred Grades. This
form will outline the requirements and timeframe for you to complete the course
work and obtain a grade. The University Incomplete Grade Policy states that an
incomplete grade not removed within one year shall become the student’s final
grade.
