Faculty Seminar Proposal
Before completing the form below, please note the following Faculty Seminar
guidelines:
- Hosting a seminar: Hosts are responsible for organizing the seminar
including working with the center to secure a space, time, and appropriate
technology; market the seminar locally; and purchase materials, snacks, drinks,
etc. They should introduce the facilitator and greet each participant.
- Facilitating/presenting a seminar: Facilitators/presenters present the
content for the seminar. Seminar content should be presented using a variety of
techniques and should model the appropriate Maximizing Learning behaviors.
- Audience: Indicate the experience level that would be most appropriate
for your audience (i.e. novice, advanced).
- Seminar length: Seminars should not be longer than 2 hours.
- Budget: hosts have $50 to spend on appropriate materials, drinks, snacks,
not including alcohol. Hosts will submit a reimbursement voucher after the
seminar. NO TRAVEL COSTS WILL BE REIMBURSED.
- Proposed Date: Faculty Seminar Requests should be submitted at least 6
weeks prior to the event.
- If you would like to host your seminar online, enter "online" in the
Location/Center field.
