District Designed Professional Development

CMU wants to be your partner of choice!

The professional development programs developed for and by your district relate specifically to the skills and abilities that you want your educators to gain. By partnering with Central Michigan University you can add a university credit component to your offerings, which provides a way for your administrators and educators to earn graduate credits toward certificate renewal and step advancement.

Collaborating with CMU offers districts the following benefits:

Course approval process

We’ve made it easy for you to complete and submit your course online. You may refer to the Step by Step Course Checklist to guide you through the process. All that is required is for you to complete and submit the following documents online (to submit by mail or fax, download and complete the printable version of the packet):

  1. Course Submittal Form - This form gives us specific information for the course you wish to offer and starts the course review process at CMU.
  2. Course Syllabus
  3. Course Outline - view a sample course outline.
  4. Course References - view sample course references.
  5. Instructor Credentials (if required) - Transcripts and resumes are only required for first-time instructors with the DDPD program. CMU can receive the documents via e-mail, fax or mail.
